About

The person managing your project, and why it matters.

Clearpath Portugal is led by Diana César — a construction and project management specialist based in Porto, working on behalf of English-speaking buyers who are renovating property in Northern Portugal.

The foundation Clearpath is built on

A rare combination in this market: hands-on construction and project management expertise, paired with fluent English.

Diana has spent her career managing fit-out and renovation projects to the standards that internationally recognized properties demand — coordinating contractors, procurement, budgets, and schedules across complex sites where quality and deadlines are not negotiable.

Our hands-on expertise runs through the whole process: day-to-day on-site management, procurement and tendering, and CAD design — reading and working directly from the drawings. It's the practical, detail-level fluency that lets us spot problems early, question a quote that doesn't add up, and keep a project honest.

What sets Clearpath apart for American and other English-speaking clients is the language and the representation. We work entirely in clear English, and we work for you — not for the contractor, the agent, or the seller. Our role is to protect your interests, translate the process, and give you a straight answer about where things stand.

Why It Matters

Buying and renovating property in a country you don't yet live in — in a language you don't speak — is where good intentions quietly become expensive. Quotes are hard to compare. A "small" structural issue is easy to miss. Timelines slip when no one is on-site to hold them. And a foreign buyer, managing it all by email from another time zone, is the easiest person in the room to overcharge.

An English-speaking technical project manager changes that equation. Someone who can read the drawings, understand what the contractor is actually saying, sit across the table in Portuguese, and then explain it all back to you plainly — that is the difference between a controlled project and a leap of faith.

Where a question calls for a licensed engineer, architect, surveyor, or lawyer, Clearpath says so and coordinates the right professional on your behalf. The job is to represent you with competence and clarity, from the first visit to the day you get the keys.
